What is this you ask?
If you have ever lived with me, you know. I have a problem.
I was generally fine when I was younger but when I went away to college, I found myself getting sick all the time. I finally got tested and found that I am horribly allergic to all grasses and trees (among other things such as cats, dust, and mold). A day does not go by that I don’t use a tissue (if not ten).
I developed this habit of hoarding tissues in order to use them again the next time they were needed (please assume here that this was a lightly used tissue to begin with- IN MY OPINION, I’m not disgusting or anything). I do this A) to ensure that I have a tissue when I need one, and B) to not be wasteful. For example, I leave them next to the couch, by the bed, on the bathroom counter, and in drawers (among other places).
Perhaps, the most problem-causing location for my handy recycled tissues is in pockets. Pockets, unlike the other places, go through the wash. Then, as I am folding my clothes, tissue bits float gracefully off into a pile on the floor. I would stop hoarding tissues (I like to think I have gotten better about this) but then I might find myself out and about with a runny nose and no way to solve that problem. That’s the worst.
Most importantly, sorry to all my friends and family that have borrowed some pants, sweatshirt, or perhaps a jacket and found a tissue in the pocket.
