{She Said} Ahh the Joys... Oil Songs

We have been studying the early days of the oil industry in Texas. Part of an assignment I gave the kids included them producing a mix CD all about oil. Here are some of the songs they put on their CDs (you will need some knowledge of current music to be fully amused)...

Drilling Like Jagger

It’s Raining Oil

Jesus Take the Drill

Find Oil, Maybe

Black Gold Digger

Boom Boom Town

Drillin’ in the Deep

Hammel Time (this is referring to the Hammel Brothers who originally built and ran the rig that first struck oil in TX)

Don't Stop Drilling

No Oil No Love

Driller

I Will OILways Love You

We’re Never Ever Getting Down to Oil

This Rig is on Fire

And my personal favorite...
We Found Oil in a Hopeless Place
