You know what is difficult…
having grace in life.
You know what is even more difficult… having grace in
teaching.
Grace in teaching is refraining from telling a parent all
the places you have posted and/or told them a piece of information they have
failed to act on.
Grace in teaching is allowing a kid, that should have
studied for the quiz today even though he was absent because he has known about
it for weeks, a chance to take the quiz at a later date.
Grace in teaching is giving friends a chance to sit next to
each other rather than just assuming they can’t handle it.
Grace in teaching is admitting that you don’t know
everything about your subject.
Grace in teaching is being understanding of students’ human
moments.
Grace in teaching is knowing that a parents anger over a
grade you’ve given is out of love for their child.
Grace in teaching is sometimes smiling rather than rolling
your eyes.
I have found that it is easier when you find grace in
teaching.
Something I am continuing to strive for.
