{She Said} Pencil Sharpener Woes

I just told a student to cut out the dramatics about the pencil sharpener not working and that I didn’t want to audibly hear every time he experienced disappointment in the results he was getting from that tool. Now, on one hand, his response was a smile and nod rather than an exasperated excuse so they have learned how to properly interact with me- that’s good. On the other hand, I had to have the conversation in the first place.
