{She Said} Who Needs to Be Able to Write Legibly Anyway

Evidently most elementary programs are no longer teaching handwriting and/or cursive. Nor are they teaching phonics. They are, however, teaching sign language. Yea- I think that’s a more pertinent skill in today’s society. Oh wait- no, I have never had the need for that skill.

Not saying that we shouldn't teach sign language- just not in the place of other (still current and very important) skills.
