{She Said} Capri In All of This

First, everyone asks so here you go... How does Capri get along with Zach? She ignores him. That is honestly all there is to say about that.

Admittedly Capri has been lost a bit in the baby shuffle. In our defense, she has always been a very independent dog. She likes being in the room with us but doesn't cuddle much with us. She likes a few pats and scratches but then just wants to go take a nap. Even so, our attentions have been diverted toward baby business lately.

One thing, outside of feeding and generally seeing to her, we have, of course, stayed on top of is her medication and grooming. This brings me to my bizarre story of the day... We got a call from the vet Thursday (where we have Capri groomed). After asking how the baby was doing (oh yea, we are that close with our vet's office) they lowered the bomb that Capri could come in for her shot but would unfortunately not be able to be groomed the next day and they didn't know when they would be able to reschedule because the groomer was gone. Would she be back? No, she was gone. I really, at this point question whether they killed her. Either way, I needed to find a different groomer, at least temporarily.

I called another groomer in town and made an appointment. When I called the vet to request a copy of shot records, they said, "with out going into detail, we can't let you take Capri to that groomer."

Hmmm... They are really making a simple thing complicated for me. Frustrating. Made worse by all the talking in code.

You know how detached I am at this point because I was neither intrigued by the murdered groomer nor the abusive groomer-I just wanted my dog to get a bath and a snip without all the drama.

Needless to say- Capri is now clean etc and by the hands of an acceptable groomer. Whew.
