{She Said} Ahh The Joys... Some Things Never Change

I recently posted a sign in my classroom that says the following:

Dear Student,

I believe in you.
And you can't change that.

The day it was posted, a student came up to me and asked if I put that up there to be nice. I told her that I put it up there to be honest. She pondered that a moment while looking at the sign and then looked back at me and said, "thanks." You're welcome. My pleasure.
