{She Said} Zach's First Easter Eggstravaganza

The Easter Bunny was very accommodating of our schedule this year!

Zach actually got his (too large to drag to and from the grandparents’ house) present from the big E.B. the Sunday before Easter. What a lucky ducky… A SLIDE! This slide conveniently folds up so that it can be taken out periodically and played with and then tucked away so that it isn’t tempting him to play with by himself. He loves going down the slide but he also just loves crawling all around it and exploring the different surfaces, steps, angles, etc.
Then, the annual trivia egg hunt was set up for me when I got home from work on Wednesday. E.B. was a big talker last year saying how easy he was taking it on me, extremely pregnant at that point, and that this year was going to be cranked up a few notches. HA he couldn’t take on my superior trivia intelligence!
We were in Brenham for Easter. Zach slept in (an Easter miracle) so we were rushed trying to get out of the house on time for Easter Service. When we got home, Zach discovered that E.B. had brought his Easter Basket all the way to Nana and PawPaw’s!
After that, it was time for our Easter Lunch that was graciously planned and prepared by Nana, Aunt Adie, and Uncle Bobby. It was delicious- Zach had his first taste of ham, potatoes au gratin, and Hawaiian rolls. He was so delighted with the day that he even ate a good helping of asparagus!
Later, Adrienne, Ryleigh, and I dyed eggs and Zach played with various members of the family.

A lovely day indeed. We rejoiced and were glad in it!
